She is gaining weight slowly but surely and in the two weeks I have been fostering her, she is filling out nicely. She loves to cuddle and play with Isabella. She is now housebroken (as long as she has access to the outside) and loves to lay in the sun. She would do great with another little dog in the household but also if she were the only dog and spoiled to death!

Take some time to stop and smell a Lily!
Lily had a bath last night and she did great! Way better than I expected just because she is so playful (even being 8 yrs. old) and spunky. She squirmed a bit in the beginning but after she got used to the warm water she stayed still. I discovered she had little brown and black spots all over her skin underneath her white hair which may appear to be dirt but as you look closer they are spots! Too cute! She also had a scab on her little head which also washed off in her bath. I'm guessing from when she was a stray and got into something she wasn't supposed to! She as a beautiful white color with just a dab of brown by her tail.

Introducing Lily!
Lily was rescued from a Ventura County shelter and was turned in by the Humane Society as a stray. When I first met her she was very shy and timid. The shelter workers said she wasn't a biter but just frightened. After talking to her sweetly she started wagging her tail and being friendly.
Turns out when I went to pick her up, they informed me when they went to perform her spay, she had pus in her uterus so instead of a simple spay, she had a full hysterectomy. Poor little girl was underweight and in pain! She was friendly and in good spirits despite the ordeal she had gone through. She was put on medication and is nicely coming along. I can not believe she is 8 years old, since she loves to play with her foster sisters is consistently trotting around the house.

She is on a healthy diet which includes a stew of white rice and fresh chicken in order to bring her weight up. The vet said she should gain about 1-2 pounds and she was weighed in at a whopping 3.9 pds.! That should just how much she was underweight. Who knows where she came from and how long she was a stray for.
She is in the process of being house trained and sleeps in a crate at night which she is great at. She knows the crate is her bed and will go in there when it is bed time. She is a true lover and wants to be included in everything that is going on around her. She is definitely a cuddle bum and gives kisses and love whenever she can.

Lily is a true sweetheart that would do great in home where the person doesn't mind a "shadow" and a nice little snuggle bunny to keep them company. She has the type pf personality where she just wants to be included in the comings and goings of the house and likes to be where everyone (dgos and humans!) are whether it be outside on the patio, taking walks, or watching the tv.
Lily is approximately 8 years old, small, spayed, up-to-date on her shots (including rabies) and licensed for the County of Ventura. On 9/24/09 she's going in to have a dental so her teeth will be in tip top shape, so after that date, she'll be ready to go!
